Azerbaijan: In Baku, police disperses protest action of oppositional block "Azadlyg"

On 5th of June, in the capital of Azerbaijan the police have dispersed the participants of the protest action organized by the oppositional block "Azadlyg" (Freedom), who demanded the freedom of assembly and fair parliamentary elections. All the protesters were brought to the police station.
"At detention, force was applied, there are victims," Gasan Kerimov, head of the Supreme Majlis of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. In total, as he said, some 30 persons were detained.
The Sabail District Police Department has confirmed that "several persons were detained for organizing a non-sanctioned action"; however, refuted any facts of bodily injuries caused to the detainees.
